Clinic Ministry - Helping the hurting

 We are also involved in helping the sick by providing medical care. Margaret does this by volunteering her nursing services once a week at a rural clinic.  This is located in a desert area called Boutin and run by another missionary.

She has been working at this particular clinic for 20 years. It is a joy for her to see the same families over and over, to watch the children grow up and have children of their own.  Some of the illnesses that are treated at this clinic are hypertension, malnutrition, minor infections, respiratory infections, skin diseases, indigestion, and many others.

We have also held some ‘one-day’ clinics in some of our churches.  This is done when we have volunteer doctors and other medical personnel come from the US or Canada for 1 week missions trips. We are then able to set up clinics to treat illnesses in the church members or those in the surrounding areas. It is a great blessing for them.
